Digital Journalism 12 is an exciting and dynamic course that incorporates three major components of modern journalism and digital publishing: photography, graphic design and journalism. As a comprehensive introduction to digital media, students will build the necessary skills and knowledge that will prepare them for a career in various fields, such as professional photography, graphic design and journalism, to name just a few. Using a hybrid style learning approach, students will be able to work at school and from home to achieve their learning objectives.
With the growth of new animation, web, video game and movie industries in Vancouver, this course is designed to provide an introduction to some of the facets of the industry. Digital Media Development 12 will focus on the development of skills in the area of 2D Graphic Design, 3D Graphic Design, Animation, Web Publishing and Desktop Digital Video. The main goal is to bring a new level of professionalism to graphic design, animation, and movie editing, so creativity and artistic elements will be studied and rewarded.
